Dear Parents & Carers,
The ‘gentle’ run into the end of term has been anything but, and we have done our best to fill every last minute.
Among other things, the week has seen us squeeze in Cathedral chorister auditions, the Year 2 Day Camp and Cornish Day, a visit from a Merlin helicopter, the fantastic Prep School Summer Concert (which saw every single child take to the stage), the Prep School Speech Day (featuring guest speaker Bella Collins), our final assembly and the ‘guard of honour’ for our Year 6 leavers.

All of this has taken place in a school filled with laughter and bonhomie; believe me when I tell you that this is not always the norm when all are tired and routines are adjusted. It is a testament to the staff and, of course, the children. I take this opportunity to thank them, along with you as parents and families, for what has been an incredibly successful and enjoyable term and year.
Further reflections on the year can be found in my end-of-term letter, which will be sent under separate cover and, in response to requests from parents, this also includes further information on school shoes for September (top marks for planning!).
Before then, I wish you all a wonderful summer with your lovely children.
With every good wish,
Rob Morse

Outdoor Classrooms Revamp Request
Mrs Stableforth is looking to update our already incredible outdoor classrooms to make them even more engaging for our Prep pupils.
In line with our work on sustainability, she is hoping to rehome and repurpose items for our mud kitchen, music wall, water wall and creative play areas.
Should you have any of the following items (please nothing with sharp edges) you wish to rehome, please bring them to the Pre-Prep over the next few weeks:
A huge thanks for your support in this.
Summer Reading Challenge
We are pleased to introduce the Summer Reading Challenge 2025 with the theme: Story Garden. The scheme launches on July 5th in libraries across the country. Please visit https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ for more information.
“The Summer Reading Challenge continues to be a bright light in what has recently been an uncertain picture of children’s reading. Story Garden will create magical spaces where children can explore and be curious, combining the joy of reading with the proven wellbeing benefits of connecting with nature. Libraries will be hosting inspiring events and activities where nature and wildlife will take children on adventures, and plants will inspire their next story. We’re particularly excited to be working with Dapo Adeola, whose wonderful illustrations will help bring these adventures to life.”
