Pupils are able to join the school at any age from 4 to 11 years old and at any point in the academic year, subject to availability. We are currently operating with certain year groups nearing or at capacity but our Admissions team will be happy to provide you with up-to-the-minute information on availability and waiting lists. Please email email@example.com for more information.
Our annual open morning is a great opportunity to talk to our pupils and staff and learn more about our passion for delivering an education with balance, breadth and wellbeing. You will also be able to join in a range of fun activities, view our pupils’ work and explore the school’s excellent range of facilities. Please visit our Prep Open Morning page to find out more.
We are also pleased to welcome parents for a tour of the school at mutually convenient times throughout the year. These tours are a great way to witness the school in action and to soak up the atmosphere. For more information, please contact the Head’s PA, Simone Weston on 01872 243 120 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The first step in the process for any admission is to complete and return the registration form using the link below, along with a registration fee of £100 which is non-refundable. With certain year groups nearing or at capacity, we are happy to answer any queries relating to our registration process. More information can be found in our Admissions Policy which can be found on our Policies Page.
Admission is based on a Taster Day during which the class teacher will assess the child at an informal level.
Entry is based on assessments in English, Mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning. These are designed to be done on site and no specific preparation is required or recommended. Pupils are invited to spend the day at the school, usually undertaking the tests in the morning with the Head before joining a class for the rest of the day. A report from the child’s current school is useful. A decision is made within 24 hours and communicated at the earliest opportunity to parents. Every effort is made in all sections of the school to ensure that when a pupil attends for a Taster Day he or she is put at ease and feels comfortable and relaxed throughout.
Our school motto, Esse Quam Videri (to be, rather than to seem to be), captures the essence of our identity and is defined by the 5 C's below. Underpinned by strong Christian principles, we are a caring and inclusive community which values, nurtures and develops each individual.

To be and to become learners for life, to enjoy the discovery and development of knowledge, understanding, skills and interests, and to critically examine the world around us.
Because we believe that academic excellence is an important part of human excellence. Every child is an individual and we celebrate and develop their uniqueness, helping them to become an independent learner and encouraging each child to explore, understand and cultivate their talent and abilities, whatever they may be.
To be aware of and to champion the needs of others, with charitable hearts, as part of a commitment to benefit the Cornish community, and the world beyond.
Because our mission challenges us to be a vibrant community which enables people to live their lives to the full and transform society for the better. Located in the heart of Cornwall, our distinctive, serene location supports the development of balanced, unpretentious and reflective children who understand their role as global citizens.
To be people who relish intellectual and wider challenge, and to build resilience by learning from both success and failure alike, on our educational journeys.
Because we want every pupil to be comfortable in their own skin, celebrating the uniqueness of each individual in the school community. Through drama, presenting and public speaking opportunities, as well as appearing in productions and concerts, pupils learn key communication skills and gain the confidence to prosper in the real world.
To be people who relish the search for new ideas and approaches that positively and sustainably shape our lives, the lives of others, and our environment.
Because we value the development of pupils’ imaginative and creative dimensions as well as their characters. Through a broad curriculum and wide range of co-curricular activities, pupils discover the important balance between creative and logical thinking. These opportunities are fundamental to ensuring your son or daughter discovers their hidden gifts, developing a sense of individuality and a confidence in their own abilities.
To be and to become the very best of who we are, by bravely examining and discovering the personal beliefs and faiths that will guide us through our lives.
Because we believe that essential life skills are often best taught outside of the classroom, balancing an academic education. Through a wide-ranging co-curricular programme, we offer every child the chance to participate, perform and lead in the fields of their choice. In a competitive world these opportunities are fundamental to ensuring your son or daughter develops essential life skills and an ambition for life.
