We currently provide 5 bus routes bringing pupils from Perranporth, Newquay, Wadebridge, St Erth and Rosudgeon areas and operate a shuttle service between Truro School and Truro School Prep.

Our pupils travel in modern and comfortable vehicles driven by Truro School drivers, if you are interested in utilising this service, details of the bus routes, timetables and booking process are below. We look forward to hearing from you.

Transport between Truro School and Truro Railway Station

Truro Railway Station is the closest station to the school and is served by regular trains from across the network. National Rail offer a range of reduced tickets for children travelling, the latest of which is the 16-17 Saver, details of which can be found here:

Bus Service from Truro Railway Station to Truro School

From September 2022, First Bus/Truronian will be providing the bus service to and from Truro Railway Station at the beginning and end of each school day.

In the morning the bus departs from outside the railway station (see link below) and drops off at the railings on St Clements Hill by the footpath leading up to the Music Department and Wilkes/Burrell. In the afternoon it is the reverse. There are two ‘runs’ in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Ticketing Arrangements

Single/return tickets can be bought on the bus, £2 single, £3 return.

From Monday 5 September, weekly tickets can be bought on the bus, or in advance on the First Bus Ticket app or via  (Truro School is under Journey Planner), these are £13.

They will be clearly identified for Truro School. No other tickets are valid. Payment on the bus can be with cash or by card.

Park and Ride

A number of pupils access Truro School by using the Park and Ride Services. The Park for Truro collection points can be found at both Langarth and Tregurra. Both of these services terminate at Truro bus stop, from here is less than a 5 minute walk to the School. These services run every 10 to 15 minutes.
