Every Wednesday afternoon, our usual timetable pauses to make way for over 30 activities as part of the Wednesday Afternoon Activities (WAA) programme. These sessions encourage pupils to learn, grow, and explore interests beyond the classroom.
The programme changes each term and offers something for every pupil. For Year 7 pupils, WAAs provide a welcoming environment to settle into school life and build friendships across year groups. For older pupils and students, they offer valuable opportunities to lead and mentor under staff guidance.
Truro School’s co-curricular provision is recognised as being outstanding in Cornwall, known for its breadth, high-quality coaching, and unique opportunities that make full use of our exceptional Cornish location.
From sport and music to art, digital creativity, and community service, pupils can pursue passions, discover new talents, and develop confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
On-site activities include British Army Fitness, gardening, music composition, rugby, hockey, cooking, war gaming, and printmaking, while off-site options such as horse riding, sailing, surfing, watersports, golf, and tennis allow pupils to learn and thrive in the stunning surroundings of our county.
