Overseas University Applications

Studying abroad offers a different way of learning. It is an academically rewarding and culturally enriching experience helping students to broaden their horizons, offering the potential to learn a new language, and to travel.

It has become an enticing option for many with increased tuition fees from universities in the UK and an increasing number of employers expecting to see international experience on the CV’s of their employees. Obtaining a degree from a foreign university is now a viable option for many and Mrs. Lucy Jupp, Overseas Universities Advisor, provides expert advice to students and parents at information evenings and in one-to-one meetings; guiding students in the early stages as well as coordinating all aspects of their application right through to the submission deadline. As a Spanish and French teacher who has lived abroad, she is in a strong position to guide students through the cultural and linguistic benefits of living overseas.

Our Programme for Overseas University Applications

We offer outstanding, specialist provision and support for those wanting to study an undergraduate degree abroad, or equally, for boarders who are returning home for post 18 studies.

Our programme includes:

  • Expert, unbiased advice from Mrs Jupp, our highly experienced advisor.
  • Information evenings for parents and students so families can make informed decisions.
  • Regular one-to-one meetings providing individual guidance on all aspects of a student’s application including how to find the best fit university, how to construct a short list and how to apply to universities.
  • De-mystifying the components of the application, co-ordinating all the different aspects including: pre-admissions test advice (SATs for US applications, etc.), scholarships and fees advice, visas and mock interviews, reference writing and essay writing support.
  • Producing school based paperwork including transcripts and school profile report
  • Sports scholarship advice, including putting together portfolios to send to coaches and how to attract full ride scholarships. She also co-ordinates paperwork to NCAA and liaises with coaches.
