Medical Provisions

Prep School

For up-to-date information on provision of medical care at the Prep School, please view the First Aid Policy on the Prep Policies page.

Senior School

The Medical Centre is open between 8.30am and 5.00pm on weekdays and the contact number is 01872 246020. Our nurses are Meisha Costa and Emily Miller, our Health and Wellbeing Lead is Mel Corden-Lloyd and our Medical Assistant is Julie Prisk.

Following the completion of the medical questionnaire, total medical care is provided by our medical team. The nurses in the Medical Centre oversee all medical issues. The school has a counsellor who pupils can access, if the school feels that there is a need, without parental consent, as long as deemed to be “Gillick competent”.

From time to time your child’s health may change. It is really important that you advise the Medical Centre of any changes which could be relevant to your child’s health in school and we will endeavour to provide support.

There is a clear school rule regarding medication. Any medication being taken on a regular basis must be discussed with the school nurse and be left in the medical centre during school time. Pupils should not be carrying medication with them at school for the safety of the whole school community.

You may contact the Medical Centre directly using [email protected] or 01872 246020.

The Truro School Identity

Our school motto, Esse Quam Videri (to be, rather than to seem to be), captures the essence of our identity and is defined by the 5 C's below. Underpinned by strong Christian principles, we are a caring and inclusive community which values, nurtures and develops each individual.
