Truro School Prep’s Year 2 pupils enjoyed a fantastic Camp Day filled with fun and discovery in the great outdoors. The lucky children started the day with Pilates to energise their bodies before heading out to build dens and use strike sticks safely under supervision.
They toasted marshmallows over a campfire, shared a picnic lunch, and created beautiful owl pictures using natural materials found in the surrounding woods.
This wonderful experience highlights the many benefits of outdoor play, including physical activity, creativity, teamwork, and fostering a deeper connection with nature. At Truro School Prep, we are truly fortunate to have extensive outdoor spaces that include our beautiful Forest School and Side Woods, which offer our pupils endless opportunities to explore, learn, and thrive in wild spaces.
A huge thank you to all the staff and helpers who made the day possible and to our wonderful Year 2 adventurers for showing such courage, confidence and curiosity throughout the day.
