Dear Parents, Guardians & Carers,
As we reach the end of the Autumn Term, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped shape and share the stories, news and achievements of the past term. We are grateful to all our teaching and OPS staff whose creativity and commitment create the inspiring opportunities that bring our school community to life and make each Bulletin a joy to create.
The Head will be sending his end-of-term letter in due course, but in the meantime, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, well-earned break.

Cash payments in Cafe and Tuck Shop
We are pleased to let you know that we will once again be accepting cash payments in the tuck shop and café. Card payments will continue to be the preferred payment method, but this change is intended to make the facilities more accessible for pupils and families.
As you may recall, we moved to a cashless system a few years ago due to Covid-related transmission concerns, safeguarding considerations around handling cash, and the cost efficiency of card transactions.
In light of feedback from pupils and parents, and with changes such as the introduction of Yondr pouches, some of the original reasons for operating a cashless system are no longer as relevant. The safeguarding of our pupils is still our priority, and we will monitor this change with pupils closely.
The café serves delicious homemade treats, as well as hot and cold drinks, and is open to pupils, parents and Sixth Form students throughout the week (opening times below).
Thank you for your support.
Absence Reminder
A reminder that requests for absence for a planned appointment or event should be made as far in advance as possible in writing to the absence email: [email protected].
All requests will be considered by the Deputy Head (Pastoral), consulting, where necessary, with the Head. We do ask for as much notice as possible and supportive acceptance if, for any reason, we feel that permission should not be granted.
Pupils will only be granted leave to be absent from school in exceptional circumstances. Requests for absence for a holiday or recreational reasons are not considered to be exceptional circumstances.
