27.03.2026 Senior Bulletin

Dear Parents, Guardians & Carers,

It has been another wonderfully vibrant week here at Truro School, with pupils embracing a wide range of opportunities across the co‑curriculum.

Our Silver Duke of Edinburgh groups spent the day in school undertaking their next phase of training, showing great teamwork and determination as they prepare for their assessed expeditions. Our musicians shone at the Cornwall Music Festival, and our Choristers enjoyed a special trip to St Ives, performing beautifully in a concert that was warmly received by the local community. Elsewhere, pupils impressed at the Maths Team Challenge, showcasing problem‑solving and teamwork at its best.

Other highlights of the week included our Year 8 Shakespeare Festival, in which the whole year group took to the stage. Their performances were full of talent, courage and confidence. We also enjoyed the annual Easter Gala Music Concert, a truly uplifting celebration of talent across the school and a fitting way to head into the final stretch of term; a wonderful display of creativity and collaboration.

On the sports fields, our U18 and U14 rugby teams represented the school with pride at Rosslyn Park, demonstrating both skill and resilience on a national stage. Our Year 12 Geographers have also returned from their A-Level residential, embracing demanding fieldwork with enthusiasm.

Finally, we wish all our Sixth Form pupils a fantastic evening at the Sports Gala Dinner tonight, where colours and prizes will be awarded in recognition of commitment, individual progress and outstanding achievement in sport.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Mrs Zoe Jobling

Deputy Head (Co‑Curriculum & Partnerships)

Lost Property - End of Term Reminder

Please note that all unclaimed lost property will be cleared at the end of term. We kindly ask that all items be collected before Thursday, 2 March.

During term time, items can be collected at the following times:

0800 – 1300: Lost Property Holding A (front of SBA)

1315 – 1430: Lost Property Container (left side of SBA)

Pupils will be notified if any named lost property has been found. Once notified, pupils are expected to collect their items within one week. Additionally, parents/carers will be emailed if there is named property awaiting collection.

If you have any questions, please contact: [email protected]

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us reunite lost items with their owners before the end of term.

Sick or fit, bring your kit

This is a reminder that pupils should always have trainers with them for all games lessons. This is in case we switch to wet-weather games or they move from the fields to the astro.

If pupils are off games due to illness or injury, they should still bring their games kit into school. The PE team will modify what they are asked to do where appropriate and include them in the lesson within any necessary limitations.

The exception to this would be if they have an injury that means it is not practical for them to get changed.

Thank you for your understanding.

Medications in School

Please can we remind you that all medications are to be administered via the Medical Centre during the school day. These include over-the-counter medications such as paracetamol and ibuprofen, and any that have been prescribed. Therefore, children should not at any time carry these upon their person.

Thank you for your continued support and do contact us [email protected] if you have any further queries.

Kind regards, The Medical Centre team

Parking in Residential Areas

We have recently received a complaint from residents in nearby residential areas regarding the use of their private spaces during school pick‑up times.

Please refrain from using private driveways, disabled parking bays, or residential parking spaces. We kindly ask all families to treat our neighbours with kindness and respect. Thank you.
