The Under 12’s enjoyed their penultimate fixture of the season when they hosted Redruth at home last Thursday. Caitlin bowled superbly, Maya was a reliable backstop and the girls between them conceded just half a rounder. When batting the girls were on top form with each of the players getting on the scoring board and not one of them was caught or stumped out. The girls won the toss and chose to field first, conceding nine rounder’s and scoring seven in the first innings. After a half time team talk the girls responded well and were much tighter all round. The bowler, backstop and first post trio of Caitlin, captain Maya, and Ellie worked well and this, together with some excellent covering on the basis, saw the team stump six players out and conceed only five and a half rounders....
