Today, the school celebrated National Croissant Day. To honour this delicious and much cherished crescent-shaped pastry, the café promoted a variety of croissants whilst the language department organised a poetry writing competition. Students were encouraged to create their own poems, drawing inspiration from the renowned French poet Francis Ponge, who eloquently captures the beauty of everyday objects in his works, including his famous poem “Le pain”. We commend all participants who joined this activity as part of their Modern Foreign Language enrichment.
