A Superb Sporting Round Up

Fresh from the Easter break our sports people have had a superb start to the term… congratulations!

Boys U18 Football County Cup Final: Truro School clinched victory in a thrilling encounter against Newquay Tretherras. After a tense 90 minutes and extra time with the score tied at 1-1, Truro School secured the county title with a 4-2 penalty shootout win. Congratulations to the team for their composure and thanks to Newquay Tretherras for the exciting challenge!

U16 Tennis County Champions: Our U16 tennis teams triumphed at the Cornwall Schools County Tennis Championships. With impressive performances in both singles and doubles matches, including victories by Jacob C, Jonny C, Tilly H, and Evie N, Truro School emerged as the Cornwall U16 Champions. A special thanks to Mr. Askey and Mrs. Homer for their coaching and support.

School Swimming Gala: Truro School swimmers did exceptionally well in the second round of our school swimming gala against Redruth School, Truro High, Camborne Academy and Hayle Academy, finishing in 1st place overall. Congratulations to all swimmers for their achievements, and thanks to the coaches for their support!

U15 Cricket: Truro School’s U15s kicked off their season with a spirited match against Plymouth College. Despite a tough challenge, they showed great determination. Congratulations to the team!

Coose Trannack Cross-Country: Congratulations to Gen, Flora, Aria, William, and Freddie for their outstanding performances at the Coose Trannack cross-country event. Special mention to William and Aria for their 1st place finishes!

Cornwall Satellite Netball Academy: Tiggy, Winnie, and Lucy showcased their skills at Exeter University, representing the Cornwall Satellite Netball Academy against tough competition. Well done on a fantastic performance!

U17 National Pentathlon: Daisy H put in an outstanding performance at the U17 National Pentathlon, achieving personal bests in swimming and the laser run. Well done, Daisy!

National Gymnastics Finals: Lola has been selected to represent the South West at the National Gymnastics Finals in May. This marks her debut at the national level, and we wish her the best of luck!

Cornwall FA Youth Under 15 League Cup Final: Alfie and Matthew represented Probus FC in the Cornwall FA Youth Under 15 league cup football final and emerged victorious after an exciting match in Porthleven. Their dedication and outstanding performance are commendable!
