Lights Out, Full Throttle: Boarders Live the F1 Dream

Truro School’s boarding community is a close-knit family, and its weekend programme of activities plays a huge part in shaping this ethos. The latest outing saw boarders head to Coast 2 Coast Karting, an outdoor track a few miles from St Ives, for a day packed with adrenaline and good-natured but fierce competition.

Boarders took to the track, with dreams of a future in Formula 1 either crushed or realised in equal measure. The rivalry on the circuit was matched only by the encouragement from the sidelines, with boarders cheering each other on between races and comparing lap times.

Back at the boarding houses, the karting trip rolled into a double birthday celebration, giving everyone another reason to come together and mark the day. Weekends like this are exactly what the boarding programme is designed for, strengthening the bonds within the boarding community and giving boarders the chance to make the most of their time in Cornwall, while building relationships that make boarding at Truro School feel like a genuine home from home.
