What’s it like to be a Cathedral Chorister at Truro School?

What does life as a Cathedral Chorister really look like? Year 8 pupils had the opportunity to find out at a special assembly this week, as some of our Senior Choristers and the Cathedral’s Director of Music joined them to share their experiences.

From early morning rehearsals and singing in Cathedral services to performing in special concerts and travelling to exciting destinations, our choristers gave pupils an insight into the many opportunities that come with being part of Truro Cathedral’s choir.

They spoke about the commitment involved, the friendships they have made and the memorable experiences that have shaped their time as choristers, offering a first-hand perspective on a very special part of school life.

For talented young singers in Years 7 and 8, our Be a Senior Chorister for a Day event next week offers the chance to discover more, meet the people involved and experience a little of what life as a Cathedral Chorister could be like.
