Nursery Hit the Beach

Our fantastic Nursery children took part in a memorable trip to Maenporth Beach on the outskirts of Falmouth. The trip provided an excellent opportunity for our newest pupils to get to know each other while having lots of fun.

After a chat about beach safety, which included using our Golden Rules, pupils were ready to go. The bus ride to the beach was a thrill, and pupils enjoyed singing lots of songs during the journey.

At the beach, pupils looked for treasures in the sand and examined mermaid’s purses, the egg case laid by sharks, skates, and rays that protects the developing embryo.

Having made a beautiful beach mandala with their treasures, there was plenty of time for playing with buckets and spades before getting soggy running in and out of the sea, with squeals of delight filling the air. A beach picnic capped off the perfect trip as pupils enjoyed discussing what they could hear, smell, and see all around them.

Well done to all of our pupils who showed great courage, confidence and curiosity throughout the day.
