Values Awards Winners Celebrated

Well done to all of our Values Award winners who were recognised during a whole-school assembly for embodying the Truro School values of creativity, compassion, courage, curiosity, and confidence.

Today’s recipients were:

Year 7: Amaya P, for being unfailingly positive and polite. Amaya also voluntarily helped with litter picking around the school site.

Year 8: Syliva M, for being kind, encouraging and inclusive during Wednesday Afternoon Activities (WAAs) tennis; she strives to ensure that everyone (including the teachers) is involved.

Year 9: Matthew H, for a fantastic attitude to learning and the confidence to use new vocabulary with humour and confidence. (Matthew not pictured).

Year 10: Daisy H, for being a wonderful influence on her peers, supporting learning in the Cookery School and sharing her ideas well.

Year 11: Cici C and Leah F, for completing the Maths Olympiad for Girls last Thursday, which aims to increase girls’ participation in higher-level maths. Both showed confidence and courage. (Cici not pictured).

Year 12: Ted O, for demonstrating exceptional curiosity in lessons when working with Solidworks CAD software to discover new features that had previously not been explored.

Year 13: Ben N, who spotted a Year 7 pupil alone at lunchtime and spent some of his time coaching him in passing and catching techniques on the Astro.

Well done also to Olliver G (11L) for his Head’s Commendation.

A huge well done to all of our outstanding pupils. We look forward to sharing more values awards as the year progresses.
