Year 7 Adventure Day

Year 7 pupils continued their journey into Senior School life with an action-packed Teambuilding Adventure Day at Tomperrow in Truro. Designed to spark new friendships, strengthen teamwork and build confidence, the day marked an adventurous start to our Year of Confidence.

Pupils rotated through a series of hands-on activities, including bushcraft, World AIMS (Action In Methodist Schools), making survival bracelets and orienteering. Each activity challenged the pupils to think collaboratively, communicate effectively, and show courage when faced with new experiences.

Throughout the day, pupils learned practical survival skills such as fire-lighting, map-reading and navigation and everyone enjoyed the roasted fruit and marshmallows on the fire. However, the trip was also, crucially, at this stage in their year, about forming bonds. Many pupils are just beginning to settle into their new environment, and the adventure day offered the perfect opportunity to make friends in a fun, supportive, and energetic setting, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead, full of courage, growth, and discovery.
