A Sweet Introduction to Geology

Year 7 pupils have had a sweet introduction to the world of Geology during a fun and engaging club. Running every Monday lunchtime, ‘Geology Chocology’ is one of over 130 clubs and activities that run each week at Truro School. Our unrivalled co-curricular programme empowers pupils to fully develop a sense of individuality, pursuing whatever interests them, from sports to drama, art, science and, in this case, chocolate!

Working with their peers, groups were tasked with illustrating volcanoes and rock cycles using sweets and chocolate. This exciting challenge ignited imagination and allowed pupils to spend time in our impressive Geology classrooms.

As they progress through their education at Truro School, pupils will be able to choose to study Geology at GCSE and A-Level, with outcomes at both that consistently place us among the leading schools nationally for Geology provision.
