BA
A co-opted Governor in January 2025. After graduating in Politics Honours at Durham University Robin became a professional cricketer with Warwickshire for six years. When Warwickshire found a much better opening bat he became a teacher of US Politics at Wellington College in 1986. In his thirty-three years at this school Robin coached the 1st XI cricket team, was a Housemaster and for his last seventeen years at the College was Second Master, serving as Acting Master in 2005 and 2014. In 2019 Robin retired from Wellington College and settled in Lostwithiel with his wife Penny. Two days into retirement Ampleforth College asked Robin to be Headmaster to help them put the school onto an even keel. It was thought that this would take a year; after three and a half years the assignment was completed successfully.
In December 2022 Penny and Robin retired for the second time to Lostwithiel and have vowed not to have to retire for a third time. Robin has been a Governor of two schools previously.
Term of governance expires on 31 August 2028.
