Beautifully painted ceramic insects have infested the art department this week as the spring term WAA ceramics club wraps up.
This term, the pupils have been researching, drawing and painting insects and, from their observations and imaginations, have modelled their own designs from clay. The clay models were then painted, glazed and fired in the studio kilns.
We popped in today to see them adding the wire legs and other finishing touches to their creations. Mr Brett is really pleased with the success of this project, and the insects will soon be displayed in the trees around the School as part of an art-in-nature installation.
