Surrealist Puppet Making Workshop

Puppetry dates back many thousands of years and is a very ancient form of theatre and story telling used to entertain, educate and enlighten people of all ages. So a group of our 2nd Year pupils were excited to go off-site to participate in a puppet-making workshop with local artist Chris Nixon. Their brief was to create some ‘fantastical puppets’ as part of a project run by the Combined Truro Schools Art Project. All pupils rose to this creative challenge, which saw them using papier-mâché and paint to bring to life surreal designs from their own imaginations. Mr Brett commended these 2nd Year pupils for their approach to this creative challenge and for representing Truro School in this fun, collaborative initiative.
