It’s been another great week for sport, especially for athletics which has been at the forefront this week.
Our athletes headed to the Cornwall schools’ athletics championships where they performed outstandingly with a number of podium finishes. As well as this Victor and Jacob L have both qualified for the National Schools athletics championships next month.
Well done to all our 2nd and 3rd-year athletes who took part in the Cornwall School Games this week. It was a sweltering day, but despite that, the groups were on top form, with the Girls finishing in 1st and the boys finishing in 3rd.
Congratulations to our Duathletes Naomi, Gen, Tansy, Annie and Lachlan, who all raced fantastically last weekend at Newquay. All of the athletes finished in the top 5 of their category!
Alfie W helped Cornwall Cricket take the win against Devon where he scored 51. The team have so far won every game of their season.
Finally, congratulations to Tegan W, who is our athlete of the week. Tegan is a keen surfer, and has just returned from El Salvador where she was competing for England at the World Junior Surf Championships. As well as this Tegan is part of both Truro School Netball and Hockey Teams where she is a key player.
Congratulations to all of our athletes, we look forward to seeing how you progress throughout the summer.
