Prep Netball

This week has been a busy one for the netball teams as both the Year 4 and Year 5 squads travelled to Truro High for an afternoon of netball on Wednesday, whilst Year 3 joined Truro High on Tuesday to develop their skills and play some small-sided games. .

All teams showed so much enthusiasm towards the games; it was a pleasure to see them all engage with the play and grow in confidence to pass and receive the ball.

The Year 4 girls have been developing their passing skills and footwork skills in practice and were able to work as a team to effectively move the ball down the court towards the shooters.

Meanwhile, Year 5 has been focusing on moving towards the player with the ball in attack and the timing of their interceptions when defending.

Year 3 worked brilliantly together, warming up as a team and rotating positions to ensure they all had a chance to play differing roles. Some great passes and interceptions were made, along with a few outstanding shots on goal; the smiles on the girls’ faces said it all.

All skills were tested well within the games, but the girls played to their strengths to maintain control of the ball.  They showed great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout.
