A ray of light

The Prep School’s assembly hall has been enhanced by the children’s artwork that has culminated in the creation of stained-glass windows.

Tony Minnion, a local artist, worked with the children to create the windows that reflect Cornwall in both its industry and beauty, with all pupils contributing to the finished work. A former art teacher has also designed a communion set and candle holders that are in-keeping with the windows which added to the creation of the chapel space. Jane Ashdown, art teacher at the Prep, was central to making this all happen.

Fundraising for the project came through selling the children’s hand drawn Christmas cards and the generous support of the FTS. The frames and installation of the windows were completed by the school Estates team.
