Boarding Newsletter – Summer Term 2025

What a Year! Thank You, Boarders – You’ve Been Brilliant

As we bring the 2024–25 school year to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate everything our boarders have achieved; and what a year it’s been! From personal growth to group successes, we couldn’t be prouder of all that’s been accomplished.

The summer term alone has been full to the brim with activity, laughter, and unforgettable experiences – but really, the whole year has been buzzing with energy. We’ve made the most of our stunning Cornish surroundings with adventures like surfing, coasteering, ziplining, beach trips, karting, and paintballing. We’ve enjoyed team-building days, charity and community events, all while building bonds that we know will last long beyond the school gates.

Our boarders have thrown themselves into school life, taking part in concerts, drama productions, Duke of Edinburgh, Ten Tors, sports fixtures, and much more. One of the true joys of boarding is the sense of community and the range of experiences on offer, and it’s been a pleasure to see everyone making the most of them.

Looking ahead, we know many of you will be heading off for exciting summer travels and time with family and friends. For some, August will also bring results days for A Levels and GCSEs, moments that matter, but don’t define you. Remember, success isn’t always measured in grades. It’s found in your effort, your resilience, and your determination to keep going. Whatever your results, they’re just one chapter in your story – not the whole book.

So, as the holidays begin, we want to say a huge thank you to all our boarders for making this year so special. To those leaving Truro School, we wish you all the best on your next adventure. Do keep in touch and let us know how you’re getting on! And to those returning, we can’t wait to welcome you back in September.

Have a fantastic summer filled with rest, fun, and brilliant memories.

Happy holidays from all of us in the boarding team!
