FTS Beach Clean 2025

On a gloriously sunny bank holiday weekend, families and staff members from Truro School and Truro School Prep hit the beach for the annual FTS picnic and beach clean at Watergate Bay.

Led by Beach Guardian and armed with gloves, litter pickers and collection bags, our intrepid beach cleaners sourced buckets of waste including microplastics, glass and plastic bottles, rope and fishing net.

All of this waste would have otherwise ended up back in the ocean or littering our shoreline. Beach cleans are important as they help to promote public awareness of environmental issues, protect marine life and preserve the beauty of our beautiful Cornish coastal regions.
