From Seed to Shoot

Pupils at Truro School Prep have been busy planting runner bean seeds as part of a fun initiative led by Mr Silk.

Children from every year group took part by filling pots with compost and sowing their seeds. The activity helped them learn about the importance of growing our own food and understanding where vegetables come from.

Once planted, the pots were carefully placed in the greenhouse, where the gardening team will continue to water and care for the seeds as they begin to grow. Before the Easter holiday, Mr Silk will award a prize to the pupil whose runner bean plant grows the tallest.
