It’s been another fantastic week of sport this week.
Congratulations to Eva B and Tegan B, who participated in the National English Surfing Championships at Watergate Bay. This time it was Tegan’s turn to chair her sister across the beach as Eva won the coveted U16 National Title. Tegan also did well, finishing 3rd in the U18 section.
Also outside of school, Naomi and Daisy have been chosen to represent Team GB at the European Biathlete, Triathlete and Laser Run events. Both girls have done incredibly well to qualify this year, as they are both in the first year of their age groups.
Meanwhile, Rory S achieved great success over the weekend as part of his Football team, St Agnes U15, who were crowned County Champions after beating Saltash 5-3 in the final.
Back in school, our athletics team went to the Super8 athletics qualifier event this week. The four teams had eight individual wins and were overall winners in the 1st and 4th year teams, meaning they qualified for the finals in June.
A huge well done to the U15 Cricket Team, who beat Redruth in their county cricket cup heat to advance to the semi-finals.
Our 4th Year swimming gala was also a great success, with Daisy L creating a new school record for the fastest 50m Freestyle.
Well done to all of our athletes!
