Wellbeing Role Models

As part of their Middle Years Portfolio (MiYPortfolio), 4th Years took the lead in organising a fun and inclusive Wellbeing Fair for 1st Year pupils.

Tasked with designing and delivering engaging sessions, the 4th Years pulled together an amazing array of wellbeing activities, with something for all interests. From sports and team games to crafts, music, puzzles, and logic challenges, the event encouraged pupils from both year groups to socialise and collaborate.

The event transformed the sports centre into a loud, bustling hive of activity. 1st Year pupils were given a welcome break from their normal school routine to take some time out to enjoy themselves, and many had the chance to interact with older pupils for the first time, creating valuable cross-year connections.

It was also an excellent opportunity for 4th Years to take ownership of the event, planning, preparing, and managing their stalls and activities. In doing so, they demonstrated key life skills such as teamwork, time management, confidence, resilience, and compassion.

With the end of term approaching, the Wellbeing Fair came at an important moment. It offered pupils a chance to decompress, support one another, and prioritise their mental health.

The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with smiles and laughter all around as pupils tried their hand at tug of war, skipping, scavenger hunts, karaoke, paper plane flying, jigsaws, and more. Whether taking part or supporting others, the fair was a great success and provided an environment to try something new or revisit an existing pastime.
