As our children settle into their new routines and classrooms, there has been plenty of fun and learning on display in Truro School Pre-Prep.
In Nursery, we decided to explore the Enchanted Garden. We had a lot of fun, and we particularly enjoyed making water flow down the guttering and making our very own water feature. We also had lots of fun making ‘soup’, ‘scrambled eggs’ and playing in the sandpit.
In Reception this week, we have had fun exploring our new classroom and playing with our new and old friends. We have continued to share lots of lovely stories of our dogs, with lots of hilarious tales to keep us laughing.
In Year 1 in maths this week, we are practising number fluency and counting forwards and backwards to 10 and 20. We have enjoyed our first story in literacy, and we are learning about adjectives and how we can use them to make better sentences.
In Year 2, we have explored different 2D and 3D shapes in maths. In literacy, we have started our first story, ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. We have been exploring life cycles in science. We have spent some time spotting the similar and different features in adults and baby animals.
