WAA Cricket in Full Swing This Term

This term, our 1st to 5th Year cricketers have been making the most of their Wednesday afternoons, sharpening their skills both indoors and out. Training sessions have taken place in the SBA, in the cricket nets and on the astro turf, as pupils prepare for upcoming matches and continue to develop their game.

The beginners group has been enthusiastically taking part in a fast-paced, modified game known as Belgies—a fun and energetic hybrid of cricket and rounders. This creative twist on traditional formats has helped players build confidence in their batting, fielding, and teamwork, all while keeping the energy high and the atmosphere inclusive.

Meanwhile, the more advanced group has been focused on technical development in the SBA cricket nets. Sessions have included targeted batting drills and work on bowling technique, with an emphasis on precision, consistency, and match awareness.

We are thrilled to see such strong participation and enthusiasm from all year groups in this WAA activity.
