Sporting Success

It’s been another fantastic week of sport with superb results and efforts in rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, football, and sailing.

What a county final for our U16 rugby team! Playing against Redruth School in the county cup final, the boys played a fantastic game to finish 24-17 and be crowned U16 county champions. Well done, what an achievement!

Congratulations to our U13 netball team who travelled to Dorset for their annual tournament this week. The girls played some fantastic games winning 4 out of 5 matches.

Meanwhile, our U14 netballers narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-final of the Sisters in Sport Bowl national competition against Wellington, ending with a score of 29-28.

Well done to the 1st Year girl cricketers, who won both of their matches and qualified for the U12 indoor cricket finals in March.

The U13A and B girls’ hockey teams enjoyed a fantastic day of hockey in their county tournament. The B side came a brilliant 3rd place in the group and the A side won the county title for second year in a row. They were outstanding throughout the day and won all of their matches with slick passing hockey and scoring some impressive goals. The team now progress to the regional finals later this term.

Our U12 netball team welcomed our U11 netball team over to the SBA this week for a friendly match. The girls showcased their impressive skills, putting into practice what they have learned throughout the term.

On the Astro, our U12 and U13 boys had a busy week of hockey playing Penryn College. These were closely contested matches with Truro winning the U13 game 4-3 and Penryn were victorious in the 0-1 U12 game.

And finally, we would like to wish Tara and Jacques lots of luck as they continue preparing for the national championships in a few weeks. They’re hoping for a place at the World Youth Games in July and training hard at the moment.
