Senior Sports Round-Up 12.12.25

Pupils have had a busy week with their co-curricular activities. Congratulations to everyone who has been representing the school across a range of sports.

Fencing:

Congratulations to Daisy H on her outstanding performance at the ‘South West Senior Épée Championship’ in Taunton on Saturday. Daisy secured an impressive second place, showcasing exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Congratulations to Hannah has had a great weekend at the EFC Allstar-Cup U17 in Eislingen. Placing 23rd overall and making it into the last 32 (out of 210), this was another personal best for Hannah, who was the highest placed GB fencer at the tournament.

Netball:

Our U14 netball girls travelled up to King’s College, Taunton. All of the squad played, and they never gave up in difficult conditions. A credit to Truro School as always. Thanks to Mrs Homer for driving and scoring!

Triathlon:

Congratulations to Naomi H, who has competed in theEuropean Biathle Triathle Laser Run Championships’ in Turkey, winning four silver medals and a fourth place. Naomi has represented Team GB internationally for the last four years and is on the University of Bath’s Talent Performance Pathway.

Hockey:

It has been a fantastic term for girls’ hockey at Truro School, with the U16 team qualifying for the National Finals in February. Grace N is the vice-captain of this team and she has been the ultimate team player. Her work rate on the pitch has been incredible, and she has worked tirelessly to develop her fitness and skill level to become the best player that she can be. Grace has played hockey since she was 8 years old at Truro Prep and Truro Hockey Club, and currently plays for the ladies’ 1st team. Following on from her achievement  being joint captain of West Panthers with Summer R and captaining the Cornwall County team, this term Grace has been selected for the Exeter Talent Academy. We are very proud of Grace, as the selection process for this is highly competitive, and she is an amazing role model for other young players.
