Seaweed Spurs Artistic Imaginations

Year 10 pupils have been getting creative, making their own Ro Robertson inspired paintings. Ro is a contemporary artist based in West Cornwall, whose art includes sculpture, drawing, painting and video often inspired by water.

Pupils have created their own watercolour paintings, using seaweed collected early this morning before school by Mr Brett at Gyllyngvase Beach. They have used the seaweed to sketch, trace and ultimately paint with, using strokes of the seaweed like a paintbrush.

Mr Brett was very impressed by the level of creativity shown by pupils and the enjoyment displayed in the class.
