Prep Sports Round Up 30.01.26

This week in Prep Sports, there was a rare sight during our football trip to Plymouth on Wednesday: the sun and blue skies! It was such a joy to be standing outside without having to think about when the next burst of rain was going to come or how much wind was going to blow. The smiles on the players’ faces told the story, too.

Plymouth College were our hosts for some friendly football matches, and plenty of effort, teamwork and skills were on show across both matches. Goals were scored by all of our teams, with several of our players scoring more than one. Well done to Ollie S for his four and Will S for his three!

Mr Ward’s team were set the challenge of seeing how many players out of the seven on the pitch could score a goal. This was finally achieved in the final quarter as all our outfield players managed to score, and even Zander, our GK, tried to get a goal as the final quarter ended.

Mr Speer’s team showed an array of positive passing and good finishing in their match. Well done to Rohan M for knitting everything together from the middle of midfield.

Thanks to our hosts and the parents who came along to watch, but mostly thanks to all the players who worked hard and enjoyed the contest. Well done!
