We are delighted to share that Old Truronian Pax McDowell CO25 has been selected by The Arts Society for his final Art and Design-3D A Level piece. His Urchin & Bowl was inspired by the coast and was designed as a multisensory piece. The base was a sapele wood turned and hand-carved bowl, inspired by Barbara Hepworth.
His final piece has now been selected in a shortlist of 24 from 124 entries and has now gone to public vote.
After leaving Truro School with A*A*A and a distinction in Leiths, Pax is looking forward to studying Exploration Geology at Camborne School of Mines in September 2026.
