European Languages Inspire the School

This week, Reverend Helen delivered a thought-provoking assembly about the European Day of Languages, emphasizing the importance of language in shaping our perceptions of the world. During assembly, pupils were encouraged to use their language skills to greet their peers and pupils from 3rd Year and Sixth Form recited the Lord’s Prayer and poems in French and Spanish.

Throughout this week, pupils also participated in activities such as an international culture quiz during form time, and a lunchtime club played a game called ‘Back to Madrid’ to revise and improve sentence structures.

The Catering Team have also been inspired by International Language week with delicious lunchtime dishes this week including coq au vin, bigos stew with sauerkraut, risotto and schnitzel.
