This week, we were pleased to launch our first School Council session of the academic year, providing pupils with an important platform to share their perspectives and help shape school life.
Led by the Head Boy and Head Girl team, representatives from Years 7 to 11 gathered to discuss topics raised through form discussions, which were then shared by form representatives for consideration at the meeting. Following a series of thoughtful discussions, pupils voted on the issues they felt were most significant. The top priorities will now be taken forward to the Senior School Leadership Team for review and response.
Miss Emma Mitchell, Deputy Head (Pastoral), commented: “Pupil voice is a vital part of life at Truro School. It ensures that our pupils feel heard and valued, and that they play an active role in shaping the community they belong to. We are proud of the maturity, empathy, and insight our pupils brought to this School Council discussion, and we thank our Head Girl and Boy team for leading the session.”
Future School Council sessions will continue to provide valuable opportunities for pupil representatives to collaborate, share ideas, and contribute to ongoing positive change across the school.
If any pupil would like to raise a topic for discussion, please talk to your Form Group representative.
