As this half of the term draws to a close, it has been another busy and enjoyable week in Pre-Prep, with pupils across every year group learning both in and out of the classroom.
Nursery pupils have been getting ready for their trip to Maenporth Beach, talking about the animals they might see there and how to stay safe in that environment. In Reception, pupils have been reading The Cat and the Fiddle, and were joined by Mr MacQuarrie, who visited to perform songs on his fiddle.
Year 1 pupils have been using adjectives and similes in literacy to describe the animals they saw on their school trip to Tolcarne Beach, and in maths they have been exploring how many 10s and 1s make up larger numbers to 100. In science, they walked around school to observe how the changing seasons affect their surroundings.
Year 2 have retold a traditional tale about why monkeys swing in trees and continued to learn to tell the time in 5-minute intervals. They have also continued to develop the school growing area, planting and tending to seeds.
As we look back on a fantastic first half term, we hope you enjoy the gallery below of some of our favourite photos from across the weeks.
