Discover Sixth Form – Tuesday 22 September

Join us for our Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday 22 September, from 5.00–8.00pm, and discover what life is like at Truro School Sixth Form.

If you are currently in Year 11 and considering your options for Sixth Form, this evening is a great opportunity to find out more about life at Truro School and ask questions as you make your plans for September 2027.

Year 10 students are also very welcome to attend. While the evening is particularly relevant for those in Year 11 who are beginning to make their post-16 choices, coming along in Year 10 can be a useful way to get an early feel for Sixth Form life, explore the subjects and opportunities available, and start thinking about what you might want from your next step.

Choosing the right Sixth Form is about more than simply deciding which subjects to study. It is about finding an environment where you will be known, challenged and empowered to make the most of your potential, both in the classroom and beyond.

Truro School has achieved its strongest A-level results in more than a decade this summer, with 80% of grades at A–B, 50% at A/A and 23% at A***. The School was also the top-performing school in Cornwall for A-level results and has been ranked in the top 10% nationally for value-added progress for the third consecutive year.

But excellent results are just one part of the Sixth Form experience.

Our Sixth Form is a place where students are encouraged to become increasingly independent while continuing to benefit from the individual support and guidance that comes from being part of a close-knit community. Whether preparing for university, an apprenticeship, employment or another path beyond school, students are encouraged to think about not only what they want to achieve, but who they want to become.

The evening begins at 5.00pm, with presentations taking place at 5.30pm.
