Summer Holiday Fun on Site

Although lessons have finished for the summer, Truro School remains open, with a range of activities across the campus for pupils, families, alumni and the wider community to enjoy.

Through Truro School Enterprises, the School’s facilities are used beyond term time, helping to ensure the campus remains active and accessible. This summer, a variety of workshops, holiday clubs and sporting sessions are taking place.

Our popular activity camps are running across the summer, offering a broad mix of sessions to help keep little ones busy, including multi-sports, bushcraft, drama, arts and crafts, cookery, cricket and hockey. You can find out more about these clubs here.

Truro School Cookery is looking forward to a busy August with two specialist sessions led by visiting chefs. On 7 August, Chef Ben Arthur will run an Authentic Jerk Chicken and BBQ Masterclass, focusing on traditional jerk cooking over charcoal and fire. On 15 August, Chef Eddy from The Halfway House Inn in Wadebridge will lead a Bouillabaisse Masterclass, sharing fish preparation techniques and guiding participants through the process of creating the classic French dish. The Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre (SBA) also remains open throughout the summer, with its usual programme of activities continuing. Facilities include gym access, court hire and swimming, alongside children’s activity camps. The inflatable family pool sessions, held each Wednesday and Sunday, continue to be a popular feature of the holiday programme.

For Truro School pupils and families, the SBA continues to provide opportunities to use facilities during the holidays.

Truro School Prep and Senior pupils receive 50% off badminton (single court), table tennis, pickleball, squash (single court), basketball (half court), and they can swim free during the lane and family swim sessions. 

Gym access is offered to pupils (in line with age-specific guidance), while parents and alumni can continue to make use of the facilities through Associate Membership. For those leaving Year 13, a period of complimentary membership provides a way to stay connected to the School, particularly for those returning to Cornwall during holidays.

Whether dropping in for a session, attending a course, or spending time on campus, Truro School continues to provide a space for the community to come together over the summer months, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
