Golden Moments for DofE

Our four Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) qualifying expedition teams have journeyed from the very north of the Eryri National Park, navigating their way through spectacular mountain landscapes, forests, reservoirs and summiting Glyder Fach on day 4, which was undoubtedly the highlight.

Eryri (historically known as Snowdonia) is Wales’ largest national park, spanning 832 square miles of dramatic glacial landforms, jagged peaks, and deep valleys and is home to Mount Snowdon. It certainly provided an epic backdrop for our teams, who experienced just about every type of weather imaginable from blazing sunshine, strong winds, rain, cold conditions and everything in between!

Every team has had their own highs and lows with plenty of laughs and challenges to overcome. Through it all, they showed outstanding resilience, teamwork and determination. We couldn’t be prouder of this fantastic group of young people and everything they’ve achieved. Well done to all involved, and a huge thank you to all of the staff and helpers who helped across the expedition.

We look forward to sharing updates from our Bronze and Silver groups soon.
