Our Summer Holiday Clubs at Truro School offer something for everyone, from creative arts and theatre to sport and cookery. Led by experienced professionals in outstanding facilities, each workshop is designed to help young people build confidence, develop new skills and have fun during the holidays.
Burrell Theatre Drama Workshops
Ages: 7–13 years
Dates: 24–25 August 2026 (Two-day workshop – attendance on both days is required)
Step into the spotlight with our popular two-day drama workshop at the Burrell Theatre. This summer, young performers will rehearse and perform Aladdin, developing acting, movement and storytelling skills before showcasing their production to family and friends on the professional theatre stage.
Nature Sketchbooks & Printmaking Workshop
Ages: 7–13 years
Date: 24 July 2026
Led by Truro School Artist-in-Residence Rachael Coward, this inspiring workshop encourages children to explore nature through sketching and printmaking. Young artists will create their own sketchbooks while experimenting with drawing, mark-making and print techniques inspired by the natural world.
Specialist Printmaking Workshop
Ages: 11–16 years
Date: 28 August 2026
Perfect for creative teenagers, this specialist workshop introduces a range of exciting printmaking techniques including Gelli printing, mono printing and screen printing. Students will also combine traditional methods with digital art to create bold and original pieces.
Develop skills, confidence and game understanding with expert coaching from experienced Cornwall Netball coaches.
Players of all abilities will enjoy sessions covering shooting, defending, attacking, match play and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
Pre-Season Hockey Training Camp
Ages: 8–14 years
Date: 1 September 2026
Ideal for club hockey players preparing for the new season, this specialist camp focuses on technical skills, tactical awareness, game play and confidence-building through expert coaching and match scenarios.
Suitable for children who have completed their Learn to Swim journey
Dates: 27–31 July 2026 and 17–21 August 2026
Give your child the opportunity to develop valuable water safety and lifesaving skills with the nationally recognised RLSS Rookie Lifeguard Programme. Over five consecutive days, participants will build confidence in the water while learning rescue techniques, teamwork, leadership and essential emergency response skills through fun and engaging pool-based activities.

Pasta Masters Cookery Camp with Chef Ben
Learn the art of fresh pasta making in a professional cookery school kitchen.
Participants will make fresh pasta from scratch, prepare delicious sauces and bake their own bread to accompany their meal while learning valuable kitchen skills.
Leaving Home – Learn to Cook Camp
Ages: 16–18 years
Date: 28 July 2026
Designed for young people preparing for university, apprenticeships or independent living, this practical workshop teaches essential cooking, budgeting and meal-planning skills to help students cook confidently for themselves.
Skills for Life Cookery Camp with Jane Hutton
A series of practical cookery workshops designed to build confidence in the kitchen and teach lifelong cooking skills.
Kids (Ages 8–12)
Teens (Ages 13–17)
From baking and cake decorating to preparing healthy meals and breakfasts, these hands-on sessions are ideal for budding young chefs of all experience levels.
Spaces in our holiday clubs are limited and many workshops fill quickly. Whether your child loves performing, creating, competing or cooking, there’s a Summer Holiday Club at Truro School to inspire them.
