Rehearsals Underway for Year 9 and 10 Production

Excitement is building in the Burrell Theatre as Year 9 and 10 pupils prepare for their upcoming production of Macbeth. With performances scheduled for Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March 2026 at 7pm, rehearsals are now in full swing as the cast and crew bring Shakespeare’s dark tragedy to life.

The production explores a brutal battle for power and land during a time of civil war. Macbeth begins the story as a loyal warrior fighting for his king, but after victory on the battlefield, whispers from the Underworld convince him he deserves more. Driven by ambition, he embarks on a dangerous path of betrayal and murder that spirals into paranoia and madness.

The Year 9 and 10 cast have been working hard, refining scenes, choreography and staging to create a powerful performance.
