Truro School came together in style for the much-anticipated Charity Show, held in the Burrell Theatre and organised entirely by students. The event, a firm favourite in the school calendar, brought music, dance, comedy, and community spirit together to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families.
The show was compered brilliantly by Oriana M and Mikey L, who kept the energy high and the audience entertained throughout. Performances ranged from solo vocal showcases to full band numbers, dance and comedy, demonstrating the breadth of talent across the school. Highlights included:
Empire State of Mind by Alicia Keys – Wavecurl
When I Look At You by The Scarlet Pimpernel – Erin W
Bittersweet by Elissa Milne – Lise D
Time by Hans Zimmer – Isaac B
Goddess by Laufey – Tilly B and Lilla K-N

The show would not have been possible without the hard work of the behind-the-scenes crew and organisers, including Finlay H, Oriana M, Jasper, Mr Morrel, Mr Philp, Isaac, Ollie, Daisy and Rev Helen. A special thanks also goes to the Community Action Team for their support in maximising donations.
Young Lives vs Cancer provides specialist social workers who offer tailored support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. They work across the UK’s main children’s cancer hospitals, collaborating closely with doctors, nurses, and NHS teams to ensure the right care and support is provided at the right time.
The atmosphere in the Burrell Theatre was electric, and the generosity of the audience promises to make a real difference for families navigating the challenges of cancer. Congratulations to all the performers, crew, and volunteers for a truly memorable evening.
