Learning Going Swimmingly in Nursery

Our Nursery pupils made a splash this week as they proudly showcased their swimming skills to visiting parents and carers.

Led by Miss Raines, the children demonstrated impressive early water confidence, from submerging their faces and blowing bubbles to holding on to the poolside “like monkeys” and mastering their push-and-glide. It was a joyful session filled with smiles, determination and well-earned applause.

Swimming is a much-loved and important part of Nursery life at Truro School Prep. With access to our on-site indoor pool, children enjoy two sessions each week, giving them regular opportunities to build essential water skills, develop confidence and have fun in the water.

Learning to swim at such a young age not only supports physical development, coordination and strength, but also nurtures independence and resilience, all while creating happy memories along the way.
