Truro Triumphs at National Schools Badminton Round

The Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre hosted the National Schools Badminton County Rounds with pupils from Key Stage 3 and 4 competing from Truro School, Torpoint Academy and Penair School.

Boys and girls played across various matches, with the opportunity to play alongside teammates from different year groups. Truro School competed with two girls and two boys teams in KS3 and one of each in KS4.

The competition was part of the National Schools Badminton League, hosted by Badminton England. As the winners in all four rounds, the Truro School teams will now head to Bath to play in the regionals.

After stiff competition, all players enjoyed some free time for friendly matches on the courts, playing in mixed teams.
