Teamwork on the Track

Years 3 and 4 have spent an afternoon participating in a House cross-country relay event during their games lessons.

In groups of four, runners took to the grass track at Truro School Prep to earn points for their school House, whilst having fun and learning about the importance of teamwork.

Mr Ward, Head of Sport, commented, “It is important to learn how to work together as a team, and the most important part of Cross Country is to encourage a love of running.”

Well done to Year 3 winners Wickett, with Vinter teams taking the second and third positions.

In Year 4, Smith were crowned as champions, with School in second and Smith again in third place.

Mrs Luxton has encouraged anyone who has enjoyed the afternoon to join her after-school running club on a Thursday when clubs recommence in the New Year.
