Weekend Sporting Successes

Pupils have been up to exciting things this bank holiday with excellent results in both the National Pool Surf Lifesaving Championships and Karate.

At the Lifesaving Championships, the standard was exceptionally high and each category had a large number of participants making the competition intense. Congratulations to Matilda M, Barnaby O, Tansy G, and Naomi H, who all took part. There were many top 10 finishes and a National Champions title in the Board Rescue for Tansy and Naomi.

In Karate, Florence won double gold and a silver at the WKU World Championships in Birmingham. Florence competed in the 18-35 years category, which is above her age group in both the Kata and Kata with weapons. Congratulations on this excellent achievement.
