Strudel Stars of Year 5

Our Year 5 Prep pupils have visited our Cookery School as part of their language learning curriculum. At Prep, every pupil in Years 5 and 6 takes part in a language carousel, exploring German, French, and Spanish over the academic year.

For this visit, our pupils experienced a flavour of Germany as they practised their vocabulary while preparing a traditional German strudel, filled with apples, black cherry jam, and sultanas.

As the strudels baked, the Cookery School was filled with the mouth-watering aroma of their creations. It was a fun and memorable way to blend language learning with hands-on cultural experience.

Having already made French crêpes earlier in the term, pupils are looking forward to returning soon to explore a classic Spanish dish!
